On the 29th of august i had the great pleasure on going to the BMW off road school in South Wales lead by the Dakar champion Simon Pavey
We spend the day riding around a national park on the brand new BMW GS 1300 and it was incredible! best day that i have ever had getting completly filthy and covered in mud
The Metzeler Karoo 4 absoutly shocked me with the way it was able to deal with diffrent services such as wet mud and rocks. the tyres Never sliped out on me which i found incedible as from what i was asking them to do!
traveling on the road was nice. even though the Karoo 4 is primarly an off road tyre it still maintains a decent level of comfort on paved roads The ride is relatively smooth, although you can here some road noise but this is expected due to its knobbley tread.
Even though i had fallen off a few times :) It was an incredible expiriance that i love talking about
Overall i highly recomend the Metzeler Karoo 4's

Hi I'm Matt, the tyre technician at Sticky Stuff Motorcycle Tyres. I spend my days fitting motorcycle tyres, helping riders choose the right rubber for their bikes, and sharing honest, real-world advice based on hands-on experience. When I'm not in the workshop, you'll usually find me riding my Triumph Tiger—a bike I absolutely love. Fair warning though: if you get me talking about it, I'll probably chat your ears off! Many of the tyres I review are tested on my own bike, so everything I write comes from genuine riding experience, with the aim of helping fellow riders choose the best tyres for their next adventure.
