Yamaha YBR 125

My first taste of 125 power!

Absolutely loved this plucky little bike. It might not have had the biggest engine, but it was great fun and taught me loads. Every ride felt like an adventure!

Definitely one that holds a special place in the memories.

Yamaha Virago 125

Fantastic cruiser and great fun to ride. I did try to fit a Virago 525 exhaust on it, though… the things we do when we’re young, eh!

Well then… this one was a bit of a regret!

I owned it for about a week before it went bang one evening. I knew that price was probably too good to be true… but come on, it was a blue sports bike! Who can resist one?

You live and learn!

Suzuki SV650

I miss this bike!

My first proper big bike on my A2 licence. It definitely had its quirks — 3rd gear decided to disappear on me!

But despite its little problems, I made so many great memories on this bike. It was the start of a lot of adventures, and I’ll always have a soft spot for it.

Suzuki GSX650F

Lean, mean, small blue touring machine!

Absolutely great fun and racked up plenty of miles, but it was still awesome in the corners. A proper little all-rounder that could munch the miles and put a smile on your face when the road got twisty!

Triumph Tiger 800

Absolutely love this bike!

Its on-road and off-road capabilities are fantastic. It really does feel like the bike for me — comfortable on the road, capable when things get a bit rough, and just so much fun to ride.

I honestly think it’s going to be very hard to find something better than this!
