We get a lot of phone calls from people seeking tyres, which is great because we sell tyres....
Sometimes it's a nice easy call, what do you want, there it is, thank you, bye!
Other time's a bit more challenging tracking down difficult sizes, hard to find tyres or bikes that need something specific.
I took a call was one of those that needs that little extra thought... but luckily.. the customer had already got a solution, which he found on a Youtube video where a chap was rebuilding an early GSXR1100
.... and it turned out that I'd done this homework previously, and our customer was simply going off the same advice that I had given to the chap who unbeknownst to us at the time has his own YouTube channel
... and furthermore, this chap had kindly given us a shout out and appreciated our good work.
Now we know he exists and even got us an extra sale, it's only fair that we try and send a bit of traffic his way...
Please take a moment to peruse his channel, maybe there will be some advice that can aid you for one of your builds, take a peek!

If you have a GSXR1100 G or H and are struggling to find rubber, then know this... rear tyres in size 150/70/18 then simply switch on up to a 160/60/18 rear... and yes it is true that you won't find any sports tyres in that size but rest assured that a modern sports touring tyre will outperform a sports tyre from the era of the early GSXR, they'll be all the tyre you'll need.

Thanks for the free advertising Nutty Nick! You made us famous!

Hi I'm Ian. Things I write on here may not be super professional, might be a bit rambling at times but hopefully there is some useful information amidst all of my nonsense. I ride a beautifully green Kawasaki ZX10R and the Akropovic exhaust is obviously very very real and not just a sticker ... and it wasn't me who put the super tacky number plate on it. Mine is the only bike in Sticky Stuff which hasn't got suitcases all over it, which means I'm the cool one.
