Mud, Snow, and Everything in Between: The Dunlop Mutant Experience

If you’ve ever spoken to me about tyres, you’ll know I’ve often mentioned how much I’ve wanted to try the Dunlop Mutants. The feedback from riders has been consistently impressive—quick to warm up, outstanding wet grip, and overall just a fantastic tyre. And let’s not forget… they look incredible too!

The Dunlop Mutant feels like the perfect tyre for me. With its M+S (Mud and Snow) rating, it’s built for year-round commuting—exactly what I need now that November’s cold, wet weather has set in. The added confidence in tricky conditions makes it a fantastic choice for my daily ride. DFF-OPTIMISED MOULD PROFILE AND SECTION SHAPE

Using Dunlop's proven DFF (Dynamic Front Formula) the front and rear tyres' section shapes have been intricately optimised to offer both responsive handling and confidence-inspiring stability, even when riding two-up and carrying luggage. This is key on today's fast crossover models, which often have wide bars combined with a centre of gravity, making them more sensitive to weaving at higher speeds.

Scrubbing The Tyres in!

Despite the freezing mid-November temperatures, I’ve been out putting miles on the Dunlop Mutants. So far, they’ve impressed me with how effortlessly they eat up the road. The tyres inspire real confidence, tackling winter conditions with ease and handling minor debris like leaf litter, light gravel, and road salt without a fuss. It’s reassuring to feel that level of stability and grip when the weather is at its worst.
