I am worth my wage just for the puns. Anything else I do here is a bonus for Mick the Boss.
(... but this is meant to be about tyres, not my magnificence.)
We have been offering Heidenau tyres for some time now, but sporadic and sparse stock is no good for you people wanting to buy them, or for us wanting to sell them.
GOOD NEWS THOUGH... we have now partnered with another Heidenau supplier! More of the good stuff!
... all in limited sizes, and happily we have just added more sizes to those treads, and will be adding more tyre options from Heidenau very soon.
A little company information, as written by the excellent people at Wikipedia...
The company was founded in 1946 as Heidenauer Gummiwerke . During the first six years of its existence, it produced molded rubber products such as floor mats and shoe soles. In 1952, it began producing car tyres, and at the same time, bicycle tyre production was established. By 1953, nearly 100,000 tires were being produced annually.
From 1969 to 1990, the Heidenau tyre factory was incorporated into the VEB Tyre Combine Fürstenwalde , with the entire GDR tire industry operating under the name "Pneumant." VEB Tyre Combine Heidenau specialized in the development and production of moped and motorcycle tyres .
However, tyres for electric carts and agricultural machinery, as well as inner tubes for vehicle and motorcycle tyres, were also manufactured. In 1990, the VEB was spun off individually from the combine.
Hi I'm Ian.
Things I write on here may not be super professional, might be a bit rambling at times but hopefully there is some useful information amidst all of my nonsense.
I ride a beautifully green Kawasaki ZX10R and the Akropovic exhaust is obviously very very real and not just a sticker ... and it wasn't me who put the super tacky number plate on it.
Mine is the only bike in Sticky Stuff which hasn't got suitcases all over it, which means I'm the cool one.
